The Carrollwood Area Business Association (CABA) celebrated the installation of its 34th Board of Directors whose 2019 – 2020 president is Nick Romer, Charter Spectrum.

CABA’s Awards and Installation Dinner has been celebrated at Carrollwood Country Club (CCC), an established CABA member, many times throughout the years.  Both CABA and CCC are considered icons and leaders in the Greater Carrollwood community, and CABA will be hosting its CABA Classic Golf Tournament at CCC on October 28 to benefit Operation Helping Hand.

At the July 31 dinner, the following awards were presented to CABA members: Tampa Bay Real Estate and Investment Group, Danelle Castillo, was awarded Business of the Year Award, and CABA recognized Mary Hrvatin-Nash, The Advisor Magazine, as the Member of the Year. Kelsey Leggett, KLA Insurance, was awarded “Rookie of the Year.”

Eight people were recognized as, “Committee Members of the Year” for their respective committees: Corinne Ishler, All Media Marketing (CABA Business Directory/Technology); Rob Cunningham, ADT (Membership); Kelsey Leggett, KLA Insurance (Special Events/Taste of Carrollwood); Jennifer Jenkins, Rooted Holistic Health (Community Outreach); Kristin Votta, Votta Coaching & Consulting (Ambassadors); Sharon Conklin, Beasley Media (Publicity); Vicki Anderson, KDC Outfitters (Golf); Sal Vargas, Primerica Life Insurance (Programs); Ann Mickel, Kara Vita (Power Lunch). 

The Jay Mauk President’s Award was presented to Diane Stoddart, LTC Financial Solutions, by Immediate Past President Barbara Sekely, Waddell & Reed, who recognized Diane for being “the member most helpful to the president.”  As well, Sekely recognized Chandra Tracy, Tracy & Associates, and Kelly Stuart Williams, Pegasos Public Relations, as being helpful during her term as CABA’s 33rd president.
