When Lori McEwen first abandoned the daily corporate grind, she wanted to create a business in the Trinity/New Port Richey area that catered to the women’s beauty needs in her community in a supportive, family, and kid-friendly atmosphere. Growing up in her family’s neighborhood salon, it was the ideal choice for her to return to her roots. The result, Shears of Trinity, has exceeded even her expectations after the first five years.
After surviving the Covid-19 pandemic, her growing business and personal stylists’ followings are stronger than ever thanks to the friendly, professional services she and her employees provide to every client at Shears of Trinity.
Why not read some of the recent online testimonials below about what some of your friends and neighbors think about this modern, full-service, five-star-rated hair salon? With, as Lori noted, an impressive “95% client retention rate,” she complimented her staff. “I don’t do it alone.” She assured me.
Rebecca B: “Lori always does a fantastic job! She is so talented and professional. The shop is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly.”
Lori C: “Love Shears always beautiful here.”
Gabrielle S: “Great service and atmosphere.”
Kim C: “Meghan did a wonderful retouch and color. My hair looks great! I highly recommend her, Lori the Owner, and Shears of Trinity.”
Tiffany B: “My daughters and I have been going to Lori for over five years. We love her! She is a hair Goddess! We wouldn’t trust any other salon but Shears of Trinity!”
TerriLynn M: “Gabrielle did an amazing job with my hair. She listened to my concerns about my hair color and made great suggestions. My color is now so pretty, and I love the haircut as well. The salon is beautiful and very clean. I will definitely become a regular customer!”
Lori McEwen: “Lori is amazing at her job! She did exactly what I wanted, and it’s stunning! She is very friendly and made me feel so comfortable to talk to during my hair process. I highly recommend this salon to any new to the area!”
These are just a few of the many testimonials available to read online about the outstanding services and latest hairstyles offered by the talented folks at Shears of Trinity. Lori noted in a recent interview that the facilities, although already modern, are undergoing a facelift with new chairs, improved lighting, and other client-friendly updates to make a great salon experience even better.
Situated at 4207 Little Road in the Heritage Plaza on the southbound side of the road, between CR 54 and St. Lawrence Ave., Shears of Trinity is conveniently located in their modern salon where their stylists specialize in the latest hair trends. Their advanced color correction and balayage expertise are exceptional. If you need color, Shears of Trinity should be your destination of choice!
Stylist Gabrielle Sinchi offered a word of caution to the public regarding hair dyeing: “Haircare is specialized with each individual,” she noted. “Don’t box dye at home!” She warned. “Those products contain metallic salts and dyes, and the result can be uneven hair color that can be expensive to correct.” As the leading color specialist, the Shears of Trinity team does a lot of corrective colors while still providing services that many other salons do not, like perms and keratin treatments.
“We are committed to hair care in general,” stylist Meghan Canavan added. “Without drama, our clients feel comfortable at our salon. Cleanliness is also essential to all of us.” Master stylist and owner Lori McEwen comfortably referred to her employees and clients as ‘family’ throughout the interview. “We are always open to having new clients join our salon’ family.'” Walk-ins are always welcome.
Shears of Trinity provides live videos on their Facebook page for clients to stay abreast with the latest specials and retail products. Their newsletter also lets everybody know what is going on. “If we have any giveaways or specials, we let them know,” she said. Lori and Shears of Trinity also are active members of the local community, taking part in many of their charitable functions.
Owner Lori emphasized the role of continuing education for both her and her stylist employees, noting the importance of learning the latest styles and trends. With an ideal mix of stylist experience (herself and two others), she said she is still looking for one more stylist to share the load. Still, she emphasized the need for any potential employee to fit comfortably into the existing friendly salon dynamics.
The youngest team member, salon assistant Alize Rosariov, echoed the friendly attitude you can expect at Shears of Trinity. “We want everyone to feel cared for,” she emphasized.
For the convenience of their clientele, Shears of Trinity offers several incredible amenities, including Wi-Fi, a snack bar, beer, wine, and disabled access. Parking is always free. For further information and hours of operation, visit their Facebook page at your convenience.
