Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office: Teen Sexual Assault Arrests

TAMPA, Fla. — A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old have been apprehended in connection with the sexual assault of an intoxicated teenage girl who lost consciousness during a local gathering.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a group congregated for a party in Plant City on a Saturday, which involved underage drinking. When one individual consumed alcohol to the point of unconsciousness, law enforcement alleges that the 17-year-old sexually assaulted her.

Ethan Eures, 18, reportedly recorded the assault and shared the video on social media, as stated by deputies. The victim came across the video on Sunday and promptly reported the incident.

The 17-year-old has been charged with sexual battery by a person younger than 18 against a victim aged 12 or older. Eures faces charges of unlawful use of two-way communication devices and two counts of promoting sexual performance by a child.

Out of respect for the minor’s age, WFLA has chosen not to disclose the name of the 17-year-old.

Sheriff Chad Chronister expressed his disgust at the actions of these individuals, who took advantage of someone in such a vulnerable state. In a statement, he commended the young woman for her courage in coming forward to report the incident.

Chronister made it clear that such alleged behavior would not be tolerated in Hillsborough County, emphasizing the commitment to ensuring that the victim receives the justice she rightfully deserves.
