On Wednesday, Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin reportedly killed four Palestinians, as stated by the Palestinian official news agency WAFA. The casualties included an 8-year-old boy named Adam Samer Al-Ghoul, a 15-year-old named Basil Suleiman Abu Al-Wafa, and two senior militant commanders, Muhammad Jamal Zubaidi and Wissam Ziad Hanoun.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, the two children were shot dead by occupation forces. A video circulating on social media, while unverified, appeared to show the 8-year-old being hit.
Hamas claimed that Al-Wafa was a member, but the footage did not clearly identify who fired the shot. In response to the video, the Israeli military stated that during IDF activity in the Jenin Camp, suspects had thrown explosive devices toward IDF soldiers, prompting a live fire response.
The raid into the Jenin camp, known for its militant activity and previously damaged by an Israeli operation in July, resulted in piles of smashed rubble and damaged houses. The Israeli forces reportedly killed Zubeidi and Hanoun during counterterrorism activity, describing Zubeidi as a senior Islamic Jihad operative involved in extensive militant activity, including shooting attacks and promoting others. The Israeli military took their bodies, according to WAFA.
