With big dreams and a small budget, Baskal Korkis wanted to start investing at a very young age, but he didn’t have enough for a down payment. But that did not stop him then, and nothing can stop him now from achieving his financial dreams, while assisting you with yours.
“I wanted to start investing when I was 14 years old, but I did not have enough for a down payment. At 16 I managed to come up with enough money for a small house, but my father did not want to co-sign. So at around 18 years old my mother co-signed on my first place.”
Baskal is a very goal-driven individual, and admitted he started working at 8 years old, and hasn’t stopped a day since. “Since I was very young I knew I wanted my money to work for me, so I could start receiving additional income. I saw my uncle invest in Real Estate when I was a teenager and thought it was a great opportunity to have people pay you to borrow your stuff,” says Baskal. “My first property was a duplex in Clearwater, I was very excited to get it since it was a dream come true. It was a surreal experience, but it came with a lot of work.”
Baskal’s perseverance and hard work has gotten him to where he is at today, a very successful business owner, investor and proud family man. He runs and operates all the operations at Korkis Insurance Services – East Lake, and also helps people and companies with all their tax and insurance needs. After all, I am one of those that have not properly reviewed their coverage in over 5 years.
