Today’s Real Estate market includes both buyers and sellers.  As everyone knows, according to market trends, sometimes the buyers are in the best seat and sometimes the sellers are at the best advantage.  While there are many Real Estate agents from which to chose when selling or buying, there’s one in the Tampa Bay market who truly knows what works for both sides of the market.  Laurie Powell Neiman has been exposed to and involved in Real Estate her entire life. Her mission is to stay true to the client she is working with so they experience the best possible resolution to their Real Estate needs.

Laurie was initially exposed to Real Estate at a very early age.  “I grew up and around the Real Estate business.  My mother, Marie Powell, was well known for changing and moving forward, and was my mentor,” she said.  Once she reached high school, Laurie worked at her mom’s office on weekends answering the phones and helping other agents. After high school graduation, she went right back to working in the real estate business.  She then earned her sales associates license and by 1978, she earned her brokers’ license.  “I learned early the dedication and care needed to list, sell and rent properties.”

By 1991, Laurie became the broker/owner of her own Marie Powell Realty office in Pasco County, growing it to two offices.  Fast forward to today; Laurie works for Re/Max Advantage Realty.  “I feel that this has propelled my career forward,” she said.  The Broker/Owner of Re/Max Advantage Realty, Rachel Gallagher, has been very supportive in moving Laurie’s career to the next level. Rachel believes in having a positive support office culture and helping agents build a business for themselves…not by themselves. The office is very active in local education, community and Chamber events.  Laurie received special recognition from Re/Max as the 15th top agent for sales in Florida and Georgia for the second quarter of 2018.  “Since moving my business to Re/Max Advantage Realty, I have been able to move my business to the next level and have grown my business tremendously.”  She goes on to express and tell the experiences of the great team of sales professionals who are there to serve their customers.  “We have a wonderful team and synergy is flowing in the office”.  She went on to say “We have a great team of affiliates who work with us to support the mortgage needs of our consumers with their insurance, title, property management needs and more. Re/Max has the tools, technology, and agents that provide our customers what is needed to make their transaction an awesome and profitable experience.  Nobody in the world sells more real estate than Re/Max. Having outgrown their previous workspace, Re/Max Advantage moved to a new 5,000 sq. ft. location in 2017 at 10710 SR 54 Suite C Trinity….Stop by sometime.

As for the seller, “I can understand and relate to every client. Every seller has their own unique circumstance and reason for selling their home.”  She went on to relate that selling a home can be a process and she, as an agent, aims to guide every client through each step of the way. When Laurie lists a property, she puts in the time and effort to make sure each home has the right marketing campaign attached to it to be sold quickly.  This campaign includes professional photos, color flyers, postcards, social media and more.  “I work to be sure that I take care of every detail to ensure a sale.”

Her drive is her passion for making a positive difference to the people she touches.  “My job is complete when I help the customer put the pieces together to complete their plan and goals.”    In today’s’ market, she explains, inventory is at its lowest.  “ We are experiencing a seller’s market, as long as a sellers’ home is properly prepared, priced and well marketed, “ she said. For a buyer, this means that you need to be ready when the call comes for a quick decision.

When it comes to what she looks for in a client, Neiman knows the importance of listening to clients and their needs.   I look for customers who want and need my professional experience,” she said.  Neiman offers the experience and knowledge to get the job done by putting the pieces together and caring for them personally.  If you’re looking to downsize or increasing your living space, Neiman can help you get exactly what you’re looking for.  Listening to clients is key for Neiman.  “I specialize in listening to my clients carefully and having an impeccable knowledge of the current market and the available listings, and being a comforting hand to guide you through each step of the moving process.”

If you’re in the market to sell your home, Neiman has suggestions for that as well.  She advises the seller to prep the inside and outside of the home, as you are looking to make a great impression. Simple things like updating the curb appeal to your home, de-cluttering closets, and pantries and having the home professionally cleaned can really make a difference when showing your home to strangers.  Buyers, she said, should look for a home in which they can imagine seeing themselves living in for the next five or more years.  Cosmetic changes, she said, can be easily changed.  She advises buyers to look at the  “bones” of the home that you can live with or you may want to change.

Laurie has many years of service to the Association of Realtors.  She has served as President of West Pasco Board of Realtors, 2001 President of Greater Clearwater Association of Realtors,  2011 President of Hernando Association of Realtors.  She was named Realtor of the Year in both 1987 and 2002.  She was also been named Humanitarian of the year for Florida Realtors, Realtor Achievement and many other awards.
