The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into a mass shooting that occurred on Moncrief Road West, resulting in six individuals being shot. According to detectives, the incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m., prompting officers to respond to a nearby apartment complex following reports of multiple gunshot victims.
Upon their arrival, five of the wounded individuals were swiftly transported to a local hospital, fortunately with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. One victim, sustaining only a minor graze wound, declined medical treatment.
The victims involved in this unfortunate incident span a wide age range, ranging from late teenagers to individuals in their mid-thirties. Initial findings from the investigation suggest that the shooting was incited by an unknown altercation, and it has been determined that at least two different shooters were involved, exchanging gunfire. Up to this point, no witnesses have come forward, and the victims have not been cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
